[It's rare that Reeve is out the door of his office before night falls, and rarer still that he doesn't head straight home to collapse after a long day of work. He's used to it by now - in that sense, not all that much has changed since his days in Shinra - and for the most part he doesn't really mind his busy schedule, but... sometimes it does get a bit lonely. While that wasn't exactly the sort of text he'd been expecting to receive, he certainly won't say no to a chance for Vincent's company, and so when 7 PM rolls around, he's gathering his things and heading off to Kalm just as he'd promised.
It's not hard to spot that familiar red cape when he arrives, fortunately, and once he does, Reeve raises a hand in greeting as he walks over with a smile.]
I hope I didn't keep you waiting long. I had to dodge people trying to shove more paperwork at me.
[His grin turns slightly conspiratorial.]
I simply told them I was on my way to a meeting.
[Which is technically the truth, so his conscience is clear!]
[ Vincent watches through the crowd as a familiar man parts from the building and emerges into the early evening atmosphere. The air is cool, calm, and crisp. Although Vincent didn't have any concern over the particular respiration complications that came with smog, he preferred the cleaner air - as most would. Reeve politely excused himself for leaving Vincent to wait, but the red-clad-caped man didn't care. As each year passed he began to recognize the dissociation between himself and time.
Vincent offers Reeve a look over. He then nods. His lips, however, remain unmoved and his expression blank like a clean canvas waiting for inspiration. ]
[It's enough of an answer for Reeve, who nods in return and then half-turns in an invitation to start walking.]
Shall we, then?
[He takes a step, then turns to look back over his shoulder, still smiling.]
I appreciate you joining me, Vincent. It isn't often I have the chance to catch up with anyone.
[It is, on the surface, ostensibly true. He himself is busy with the WRO, Cloud and Tifa have the bar and the children, Barret is working on new energy sources, and Nanaki is off doing whatever it is that he does. Yuffie and Cid are the only ones Reeve sees with any sort of regularity thanks to their work for the WRO, but Cid has the airfleet and his new wife to occupy him; Yuffie isn't bad company by any means, but her youthful exuberance only serves to remind him that he isn't getting any younger. They've all settled into their respective orbits, and his simply doesn't tend to overlap with the others all that often.

[ Vincent steps in line with Reeve. Though he doesn't think there's much to catch up on. In comparison to the others, Vincent lives a rather dull life. Unless Reeve wants to hear about all the people Vincent watches to pass the time. Even then, there's nothing been as heavy as when the remnants began to show up. Though, being appreciated was something to take note of.
It wasn't something he questioned whether or not he should be grateful for Reeve's appreciation; of course, he was. It was more in line with the thought that he didn't really deserve Reeve's appreciation or anything.
Vincent glances to Reeve then ahead again. Maybe Reeve just needed someone to talk to. Vincent would fulfill that role, dutifully. After all, Reeve appreciated his coming and it was the least he could do if Reeve was desperate enough to come to Vincent for conversation. ]
